How it Works You might be asking yourself how these companies can pay you for being on your own computer. Well, it should be obvious that they get money from advertising. then they give you money for looking at the advertisements. That's a good deal. But to keep the advertising dollars flowing, they count on you to follow some links. But there is a problem. If you click on a link just to say that you clicked on it, then that could be considered spam. What is spam? Spam can be anything from unsolicited e-mails to bogus clicks on banners. This is not good. It may not be illegal, but it can be traced and you could get your membership revoked. Why is spam bad? In this case spam can ruin the credibility of a PTS service and the pay will plummet, and in some cases there are lawsuits. Lawsuits are only possible because spamming is against membership agreements. Fulfilling membership agreements. Thou shall not spam is the biggest one. People just don't like it. More details when you join. Surfing for money. Some services require you to visit sponsor sites. You should visit all that really interest you. Don't just click to get credit. You might get booted. Visit sites that are useful to you. If you want to buy a gift, browse a few and buy. If you have questions about health or money, there are always links that can help you. When you want to search the net, use a link from one of you viewbars. The same applies when you are getting paid for reading email. You normally get paid for clicking links. If the mail doesn't interest you, then maybe you shouldn't click on it. Get the gist yet? Don't cheat these services, It doesn't help anyone and you will feel bad about doing it... or maybe not. |
